Transport announces new routes and service extensions to expand coverage in 6 communes in the Metropolitan Region
This Saturday, July 6, a line will debut for Quilicura in order to improve connectivity with Metro Line 3, at Los Libertadores station. Modifications will also benefit more than 50 thousand neighbors of Independencia, Maipú, Puente Alto, Quilicura, La Reina and Lo Barnechea.
A new route, seven extensions, six modifications and the optimization of other services contemplate the changes that will debut next Saturday, July 6 in the capital public transport system, and that will be implemented in order to expand the coverage available to users.
These modifications will benefit more than 50 thousand people from the communes of Independencia, Maipú, Puente Alto, Quilicura, La Reina and Lo Barnechea, who will have new coverages that will allow direct connections to subway stations and a better quality of service.
“One of the novelties is the creation of the 314c route that will directly connect the sector of San Luis, in the commune of Quilicura, with the station Los Libertadores of Metro Line 3”
With regard to service extensions, you are benefiting the neighbors of the communes of Independencia, Maipú, Puente Alto, La Reina and Lo Barnechea, allowing them to have better coverage.
One of the extensions that stands out is that of the B22 route, which modifies its path by entering Av. Independence, with the aim of providing connectivity to more than a thousand people who will now have direct access to vivaceta and Conchalí stations, subway line 3.
In turn, the neighbors of the Satellite City, in the commune of Maipú, will also benefit from the extension of routes 111, 113, 113e and 113c. This will reduce the circulation of buses by Jorge Guerra street and improve coverage in Av. Parque Sur and alcalde Infante Larraín.
“In La Reina, meanwhile, the neighbors of Paula Jaraquemada and Javiera Carrera will have route 513, which will modify its layout in both ways to avoid the congestion that occurs in Américo Vespucio”
Also, to optimize the service, the 301e route will be absorbed by the 301 and 301c, so people will be able to use these tours as an alternative depending on their destination.
Similarly, to improve supply distribution and maintain existing coverage and connections, the 513v service will be absorbed by the 513 as an alternative.
