New Red buses add to the east and north sector of Santiago
Starting March 02, the Metropolitan Public Transport Directory will add a new electric tour between Vital Apoquindo and Ciudad Empresarial and three other services will have ecological services with new Red standard.
From Monday 02 March, some changes to route layouts of the company Redbus will be implemented, and new electric and ecological buses Euro VI will also be incorporated into services operating in the eastern part of the capital.
In this way, the C06 service that currently connects Vital Apoquindo with Tobalaba extends its route to Ciudad Empresarial, facilitating the transfer of people who come to that work pole. In addition, it allows Huechuraba users to have a direct connection, through the San Cristobal Tunnel with the upper area of Las Condes thus optimizing connectivity between the east and north of the city. In addition, this tour will be operated with standard Red electric buses, delivering a better travel experience.
“The new C06c route is created, generating a new connection between the subway Cristóbal Colón and Vital Apoquindo, delivering a service reinforcement to users of the Colón axis. ”
This new tour will run from Monday to Friday at peak times: 06:30 – 08:45 and 17:30 – 20:15 hrs.
Meanwhile, the C04 tour will no longer serve. However, there are several travel alternatives in your replacement:
- Users who mobilize between the subway Cristóbal Colón and Vital Apoquindo will now have 3 travel alternatives: the new route C06c, C06 and 517 to Tomás Moro.
- On the other hand, those who come by Eliodoro Yañez to Nueva Tajamar, will have as an alternative the route 517. This same service is an alternative to get to Tomás Moro, via Christopher Columbus.
New standard Red buses
In addition to the C06 route that will start operating with standard Electric Buses Red, from Monday 02 March the services C02, C02c and C14 will be operated by eco-friendly Euro VI buses, which have very low emission levels thanks to their technology. Like electric ones, these buses also deliver new and better features to their users, such as: USB ports, air conditioning, universal accessibility and more comfortable seats. It should be noted that routes C02, C02c and C14 maintain the same paths and stops.
